VisitMalta (Malta Tourism Authority) is issuing a Call for Musicians to perform at Dubai EXPO 2020 which opened in October 2021 and will close in March 2022. This call is open to local bands, soloists and musical ensembles.
Summary
The MTA is supporting this initiative as part of our commitment to promote the Maltese Islands in non-conventional ways, this time, through music, at what is currently the world's biggest platform, where over 190 countries are present. All the world is coming together, for the first time since the pandemic began, to connect, to exchange and to learn on this extraordinary global stage, and through this call, we are excited to extend this opportunity to local musicians.
Application Process
Apply today by sending an email to events@visitmalta.com by not later than Monday 25th October at 17:00hrs including your Portfolio, CV and Tech Rider. Moreover, your application is to also include a maximum of 2 Hi-Res Images (5.5 MB 1200x1200 pixels or 7.32 MB 16000x1200 pixels), as well as a running order.
Selection Process
An independent adjudication panel will review all the applications received and all applicants will be informed accordingly. The MTA will cover costs relating to flights, accommodation and ground transfers for a maximum of 8 people, which includes the applicants' sound engineer. The selection will be determined according to the exigencies of the Dubai Expo 2020 Programme of Events.
