The Malta Tourism Authority was presented with the official approval letter for EU funding during the ESF Project Award event.

Tourism Excellence Malta is one of the newly selected EU-funded projects targeting a wide spectrum of tourism workers including middle and senior executives within the tourism industry, non-Maltese workers and Public Sector employees linked to tourism. This industry wide training initiative led by the MTA is a significant investment in the capabilities of human resources within the tourism sector across Malta and Gozo to enhance workforce quality and service consistency. Through this programme, the MTA aims to re-skill and upskill more than 2000 tourism workers over a period of 3 years focusing primarily on digital innovation, cultural awareness, meeting customer expectations, environmental sustainability, diversity management and tourism management and policies.
