You are invited to participate in Malta's Climathon, addressing the Challenge: Reduction of single-use plastics and carbon emissions in our food delivery system.
The EIT Climate-KIC Malta Hub, connecting communities through systems innovation and education and entrepreneurship programs to tackle climate change, is hosting a Climathon.
MCAST, the Hub's lead partner, is proud to host this free hybrid event. You are invited to participate as an individual or as part of a team in the Challenge led by the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA).
The Climathon is a global movement, which has grown from 600 to 6500 participants in the last 4 years, where citizens work 24 hours to find solutions to our biggest climate challenges.
Join us from 29 – 30 October to come up with a winning solution that will then be implemented with the support of ERA and the Hub. More details can be found here.
The final award is placement in our MED ClimAccelerator program (supporting startups through funding, training and mentoring), the equivalent of €5K. The winning team will have the opportunity to implement their solution in 2022. Other prizes include an annual TappWater starter package, Zero Waste Kits from EcoMarket and gift vouchers sponsored by HSBC. In addition, ERA is supporting the winning team/solution by offering free consultancy and the use of their premises next year, valued at €2.5K.
