MTA Tourism Career Guide
The first & second volume of a series of Career Guides aimed at secondary school students have been published. The first Career Guide covers 23 different careers one can pursue in the hospitality and catering sectors whilst the second booklet covers 16 careers within the travel and tourism sectors.

The Choice Programme
‘CHOICE programme’ has been designed to give information and exposure to students about careers in tourism, gives an overview of the industry that helps students formulate a knowledgeable opinion about the industry. Tourism In-service Programme for Guidance Teachers
‘Tourism In-service Programme for Guidance Teachers’ provided to be an invaluable exercise for the participants and the MTA, presenting an excellent opportunity to reinforce the link between the school and the world of work, in this case the tourism industry. This programme will also be offered to secondary school teachers.
Tourism Career Awareness Interactive DVD
A ‘Tourism Career Awareness Interactive DVD’ is currently being developed to create a career awareness DVD which will be distributed to all Guidance and Secondary school teachers in 2007 in order to assist educators to disseminate information on the tourism industry to increase the interest of students to pursue a career in tourism.
